About the project

Bluescape is a collaborative working platform with a wide range of advanced features and use cases. We had worked on the user experience and features of the product itself for several years, so when Bluescape asked us to design and build their new website, we were well-equipped to take on the challenge. We kicked off the project with a thorough pre-study, including target group and competitor analysis, and created a full sitemap and a prioritized backlog. We then started work on the pages and modules themselves, while creating a bespoke design system alongside, enabling us to seamlessly hand over finished elements to the development team. Regular sync meetings with the client’s marketing team kept the vision in sync and the path to decisions short.

Visual Language

The Bluescape product had an extensive design system already that provided a great starting point for colors, typography and iconography, but lacked a visual language for illustrations and supporting graphics.

We developed a no-nonsense style, using tonal variations of the colors in the palette to create striking images that help bring the pages to life.

Modular and Responsive

Each page is built in a modular fashion, with a range of modules available depending on the type of content to be displayed. They can be combined in any configuration, allowing the Bluescape marketing team full freedom in adapting the site to the evolving features of the product.

The modules are fully responsive, ensuring that the site looks its best on screens of all sizes.

Take aways

After the main development work was completed, we were happy to hand over a powerful, full-featured modular website to the client. It was interesting to see how a relatively small number of modules could be employed to display such a varied range of content. The site is well-equipped to support the sales and marketing needs of the team at Bluescape, and compel more users to try the product. We have continued to support the site with feature and security updates in the years following the launch.
