About the project

Bluescape is a collaboration platform with a wide range of advanced features and use cases. Having worked on the product experience and user interface for several years, we were well prepared when Bluescape asked us to design and build their new website. We started the project with a thorough discovery phase including audience and competitor research, created a full sitemap and prioritised backlog. Next came the work on the pages and modules themselves, alongside developing a custom design system which allowed us to smoothly hand off finished elements to the development team. Visual Language

The Bluescape product already possessed a comprehensive design system, which gave a strong definition of colour, typography and iconography. However, it lacked an established visual language for illustrations and supporting graphics.

We created a bold and clean illustrative style where tonal variations from the existing palette are used to build high-impact visuals that help bring the pages to life.

Modular and Responsive

Each page is built in a modular format, with many different modules available depending on the type of content that needs to be shown. These can be placed in any combination, giving the Bluescape marketing team full flexibility to evolve the site as the product continues to grow.

All modules are fully responsive and carefully designed to look great on screens of all sizes.

Take aways

Once the core development work was complete, we were proud to hand over a powerful, fully modular website to the client. It was rewarding to see how a relatively small library of modules could support such a wide variety of content. The site is well equipped to support Bluescape’s ongoing sales and marketing activities, and to help bring more users into the product. We have continued to support the site with feature and security updates in the years since launch.
