About the project
Arena by MIT is a versatile physical access management platform, designed to accommodate organizations of all sizes—from small businesses to large enterprises. For end users, unlocking doors or booking resources like washing rooms or sports facilities is just a few taps away. What truly sets Arena apart is its app-free approach. With a sleek, responsive web interface, users can access the system effortlessly, no matter their device's age or type.
Easy access
A QR code positioned at the entrance guides users to the unlock screen, accessible via the web interface’s scanning feature or the phone’s built-in camera app. Users can also view a list of all their available functions. For visitors without access credentials, the intercom option provides a searchable tenant directory, enabling quick and easy calls.
Powered by variables
The Arena design system is built from the ground up using Figma variables across multiple layers, allowing for rapid design adjustments and effortless theme customization. Currently, the system supports both dark and light modes, but it’s fully equipped to accommodate partner-specific color palettes and typography.
The Arena Brand
Arena aims to be an one-stop solution for property access management, encompassing areas such as door access, intercom, booking of facilities, sensors and monitoring, alarms, lighting and more. We developed a brand that encompasses these aspects, spearheaded by a mark that represents connected access to the places you want to go – the Cloud Key. The simplicity of the symbol means that it translates well across both digital and physical applications, and together with a distinct color palette and modern, legible typography, it lets the Arena brand stand out in a crowded field.
Painless tenant administration
Behind the scenes, a robust and scalable admin dashboard equips supervisors with the tools to efficiently manage large user groups across multiple locations or organizations.
